The MBA Hub
Executive Roundtable: Rick Miller, Founder and Chairman, Avamere
Rick MillerOne of the aspects of the Portland State MBA program that attracted me was the school’s deep connection to the business community and extensive alumni network.
The School of Business maintains deep relationships with local business professionals from many different industries, many of whom are MBA alumni. PSU alumni remain involved with the School through the Business Advisory Council, the Mentor Program, Career Panels, and Executive Roundtable events.
This week, the School of Business is excited to welcome back MBA alumnus, Rick Miller. RIck received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from the University of Oregon and then came to Portland State to earn an MBA.
After acquiring his first nursing home in Hillsboro in 1995, Rick went on to found the Avamere Group, one of the most admired and respected senior care companies in the Northwest. Rick chairs the American Health Care Association (AHCA), and the Oregon Health Care Association (OHCA). He is also on the Boards of the National Center for Assisted-Living (NCAL), Vigilan Inc., Identity Safe Guard, and Off-the-Wall Media.
Come join other current graduate business students as Rick discusses his experience and leadership insights!
