Guest post: Study abroad in Marseille by Tim Navarrette

This summer I participated in the study abroad trip to France, offered through the Portland State School of Business. During my trip to Marseille, I studied International Finance and Global Capital Markets. The trip for me was everything I expected, a whole lot I didn’t expect, and overall, a great investment of my time and money.

The classes take place at a private business school, Euromed. All classes are taught in English and the students for the graduate program come from all around France as well as the Mediterranean. The graduate program is in a newly remodeled building not far from the Vieu Port (which is the main downtown hub of Marseille.)

Marseille is not unlike Portland in that each neighborhood has its own character and feel. It is a very diverse city as it is France’s major port on the Mediterranean, thus there is a large North African, Italian, and Spanish influence on its people.

Studying Abroad: Stephanie Moshofsky

Marseille, FranceMarseille, France

Full time MBA student Stephanie Moshofsky is no stranger to unfamiliar situations.

During her time in the US Army, she held several different positions with a variety of responsibilities, including spending time in Iraq. However, she was curious to experience another culture from the perspective of a student, which inspired her to study abroad in Marseille, France earlier this summer. The PSU School of Business Administration offers the Marseille study abroad program in cooperation with the Euromed-Marseille Graduate School of Business Marseille-Provence.

I recently caught up with Stephanie to chat about her trip to France...
